97 year old Fairfield resident, Mary C. "Kay" Hillegeist passed away at the home of her daughter in Fairfield on Friday morning, October 4, 2024.
Kay was born on August 24, 1927 to John and Mary O. (Reed) Stewart. Kay was one of ten children to this union. She married Joel W. Hillegeist on January 12, 1946. They were the proud parents of three daughters, Beverly, Brenda and Janet. Joel preceded her in death on March 13, 2007.
Kay was a home maker who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed quilting. In fact, she took great pride in her work. Kay had attended Northside Baptist Church.
Kay is survived by her daughter; Janet (Jerry) Houser of Fairfield, Grandchildren; Jim Roemer, Brenda (Doug) Burik, Jo Anna (Michael) Harvey, Matthew (Brittny) Houser and Jeff (Mitsy) Elliott.
