Ruth Elaine Williams, 90, of Mt. Erie IL passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at her residence.
Ruth was born on May 20, 1934, in Mt. Erie, IL. at home, to Percy B. and Lue C. (Billingsley) Atteberry. She married Jess D. Williams Jr. on January 2, 1954, at Enterprise, IL. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2011.
Ruth retired from Mt. Erie Banking Center after thirty-two years as a teller. She was also a homemaker; she enjoyed working in the garden and mowing the yard.
Ruth attended Brown Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Mt, Erie, IL She was also a member of the local Red Haters Club and was active in the local community activities.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters Deborah (John) Jordan of North Carolina, Carolynn (Dwain) Gilbert of Waltonville, IL, a son Jeffery (Gail) Williams of Mt. Erie, IL; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers Elmo and Charles
