Nancy Jane Ray Wood
Nancy Jane Ray Wood, 68, of Cisne, IL passed away at 12:44 AM Sunday, January 5th, 2025, in the skilled care unit at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 30th, 1956, in Fairfield, IL to Harold and Billye Ray. She spent the majority of her career as a speech pathologist working in the North Wayne school district. Nancy also worked in the family business doing the bookkeeping for Harold L. Ray Truck and Tractor Service. Nancy was always an active church member and pianist. She was a member of Cisne Christian Church for many years, playing the organ, teaching Sunday school, and being very involved with the youth. She later became a member of Fairfield Christian Church playing the organ, teaching Sunday school, and was very active in the W.O.W. program. She was a devoted and loving mother and grammy and loved nothing more than spending time with her family.
